The Bloom

Cookie Policy

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website can store on your device to remember information, such as your preferences or your activity on the site. Some similar technologies (like local storage) work in a comparable way.

What thebloom.rest uses today

As of the date above, thebloom.rest does not set any non-essential cookies. The site does not run analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking scripts. The only external request the site makes is to load a font; we are moving this to be served directly from our own site so that no data is sent to a third party just by visiting the page.

If your browser or device sets a strictly necessary technical cookie in the future (for example, to remember that you accepted or declined cookies, or to keep a shopping cart working once the store launches), we will list it in the table below and it will not require your consent, since strictly necessary cookies are exempt under the Finnish Act on Electronic Communications Services (Laki sahkoisen viestinnan palveluista 917/2014), which implements the EU ePrivacy Directive.

What happens if we add analytics or marketing cookies later

If we ever add analytics (for example, to see how many people visit the site) or marketing cookies (for example, to run ads), we will:

This approach follows the guidance of Traficom (the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency, which enforces cookie rules) and the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman.

Browser controls

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser's own settings at any time. Because thebloom.rest does not currently rely on cookies for the site to function, doing so will not break anything on the site today.
